For the skeptics saying this scale does not work – they are wrong. EXTREMELY wrong, and could not be more wrong! I had my iPhone scale in the plastic wrapping (opened but still in wrapping) so it was looking like new a new out of box iPhone. On top of that I had a real scale that looked like nothing other than a real pocket scale. The mistake of carrying two was extremely stupid and I paid for it – ONCE.

The police officer searching my car found the obvious scale which was very stupidly in the same box as the iPhone look a like box, sitting right on the top. I put it there because it was a convince place to store it at the time and it fit perfectly. We weren’t driving that far with them either, but I know that’s irrelevant.  As the officer was going through my things he picked up the iPhone box and I thought I was in double trouble when he opened the lid…

Turns out he took out the single pocket scale and didn’t even go through the iPhone scale box at all!  Soon as he found the real scale, he immediately put the lid back on the box and put it on the hood of his car.  Wow what a relief I was thinking, I can’t believe I pulled that one off! Had the real digital pocket scale not have even been near my iPhone scale, I question the fact that I would have been caught in the first place. However, I still have to pay a fine for my stupidities, but have learned my lesson, and I learned it well.

What I learned from using the iPhone Scale:

  • Keep one scale on a time
  • The iPhone scale WILL fool a police officer if given a chance
  • Never hold stuff for other people, under any circumstance

The outcome of this disaster wasn’t too bad, fines will be paid, lessons learned. I was charged with possession of paraphernalia however, only on one account not for the scale!

A great improvement to the iPhone scale would be a secret box on the bottom of it, kind of like a trap door. This would allow for small amounts of herbs and pipes and other small items such as pipe cleaners. Since this particular cop didn’t even decide to hardly go through the iScale box, I would say this idea sounds not only practical but essential!
